Citywide Mission Strategy Summit
Sunday, January 9, 2005
All clergy serving in San Francisco and a lay representative from each local congregation will gather together 
to assess the present, to envision the future and to strategize for the future of the UM presence in the City.
The Summit will beheld at the GG District Office from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
The dinner will be provided.
A follow-up session is tentatively scheduled for March 16, 2005.

Resurrection Walk
Saturday, April 2, 2005
Join us in the inspiring walk through Golden Gate Park to hear the first seven words of Jesus after his Resurrection.

Youth Celebration
Youth from all the SUMM churches will come together for a contemporary praise service 
and great fellowship one evening during the Spring break
2005.

Pentecost Joint Service
"Diversity in Unity – Unity in Diversity"
Sunday, May 15, 2005 - 2:00 PM
All our churches will come together in the afternoon of Pentecost Sunday to celebrate our diversity 
in language and culture and pray for the Spirit’s power of affirmation and unity.

Urban Ministry Convocation
2005 (Dates yet to be determined)
SUMM offers the Convocation to reenergize, refocus, retool and resource our churches for urban ministry. 
We plan to invite our national staff and prominent speakers to help us. 
Workshop topics may include:
Church Growth in Urban Settings
Homelessness and Affordable Housing
Urban Spirituality and Theology
Ethnic Ministry in Urban Areas
Youth Ministry in Urban Areas
Ministry to the Aging
Gay/Lesbian Justice and Ministry
Funds and Resources for Urban Ministry
Cooperative Ministries
Community Developer Program
Peace and Justice Ministry

Sierra Service Project
Youth Mission Trip
Summer 2005
Encourage our youth to participate in Sierra Service Project in the Round Valley Reservation. 
This will be a great opportunity for our youth to experience life in reservation, 
spiritual growth, camaraderie and lasting friendship.
