I was born in Corydon, Indiana and grew up on a large dairy farm where I lived with my grandparents. I moved to Tennessee in 1976 and graduated from Greenbrier High School in 1977. I attended Nashville College of Medical Careers in 1987 and graduated on the Dean’s list. I married Bailey Knight in 1979 and have 2 children, Melissa Sword & husband Dwayne, and Matthew Knight & wife Jessica. We have 4 beautiful grandchildren, Briley & Arabella Sword and Caidence & Lane Knight.
I worked in commercial real estate for 16 years in Nashville before joining the team here at Springfield First UMC as the Secretary. I enjoy my position here at Springfield First as I love helping others. I enjoy conversing with the public and making people happy, laughing and having fun. I also enjoy being creative with computers such as graphic presentations, bulletins, flyer’s, slideshows, movies, etc. I am the Coordinator for the Wednesday Night Together Kitchen Crew and enjoy helping in the kitchen and working with the wonderful team of crew members who give of their time.
In my free time my husband and I love camping, fishing, walking, swimming, riding our bikes, junkin in the junk yard, working on his old truck and reading. I especially love long drives in the country on a Sunday afternoon.
